The main aim of the BRTA and its member centres is to address the needs and challenges of the Basque Country's production, industrial and business sector on the basis of science and technology. In short, we work to offer competitive solutions to the Basque companies.
To this end, the strategic pillars of BRTA are the valorisation of R&D and technology transfer. On the one hand, research results need to be effectively protected and commercialised, such as through the promotion and creation of new technology-based companies. On the other hand, we constantly support companies, in particular, small and medium-sized enterprises, to become more innovative and competitive.

Entrepreneurship
Basque Tek Ventures is a technology transfer Venture Builder led by the Basque Government and SPRI, in collaboration with BRTA, Basque Country Venture Capital Management belonging to SPRI Group and the BICs (Business Innovation Centres); the BTV promotes and accompanies the building of high-impact start-ups.
