CIDETEC

An R&D centre founded in 1997 that develops and implements high added value and economically sustainable technological solutions, by capturing, generating and transferring technological knowledge. It seeks to add value to companies with the ultimate aim of improving the competitiveness of its clients, as well as to actively participate in improving the local business base and to promote the sustainability of the planet. It currently has a staff of around 300 employees, 54% of whom hold PhDs. Its activity volume reached €21.1m in 2023.

Located in the Donostia-San Sebastian head office of the Gipuzkoa Technology Park and with facilities also in the Gipuzkoa Electromobility Hub MUBIL, CIDETEC comprises three R&D centres in Energy Storage, (CIDETEC Energy Storage), Nanomedicine (CIDETEC Nanomedicine) and Surface Engineering (CIDETEC Surface Engineering).
